OpenAI batch image generation with your own API key

Melia can send your prompt list to OpenAI image models using your own API key. OpenAI bills the usage to your account; Melia does not sell credits.

1. Prepare your OpenAI account

Create an API key on the OpenAI platform and make sure the account has billing set up with available credit. Some image models may require organization verification by OpenAI; if a model is rejected, check your account's access first. A chat subscription does not replace an API account.

2. Connect it in Melia

  • Settings → Provider: choose OpenAI.
  • Paste the key under API configuration, press Save API key, then Test connection.

3. Pick a model

Melia lists GPT Image 2 (recommended), GPT Image 1.5, GPT Image 1 and GPT Image 1 Mini. Run a short test batch to compare quality and cost on your own prompts.

4. Run and resume

Use the same workflow as with Gemini: a prompt file, an output folder and Generate. If anything stops — a limit, a billing problem, closing the app — finished images are kept and Resume continues the same run.
