Getting started with Melia
From purchase to your first batch of numbered images: requirements, installation, activation and the first run.
Requirements
- Windows: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- macOS: macOS 13 or newer on an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later). Intel Macs are not supported.
- An internet connection for activation and generation, and your own Gemini or OpenAI API key.
Download and install
After purchase you get a Gumroad receipt with the Windows ZIP, the macOS DMG, the PDF guides and your personal license key.
- Windows: extract the ZIP to a folder you can write to (not Program Files) and run Melia.exe.
- macOS: open the DMG and drag Melia to Applications.
Security warning (one time). Melia 1.0 is not code-signed on Windows and not notarized by Apple on macOS, so the first launch shows a warning. On Windows choose "More info → Run anyway". On macOS open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose "Open Anyway". The warning does not mean the app is damaged.
Activate your license
Enter the license key from your receipt in the setup screen or in Settings → License. One key can be active on up to 2 devices; you keep lifetime use of your version and receive 12 months of updates from the purchase date.
Connect an API key and run
Add your key in Settings (Gemini or OpenAI), choose a prompts file and an output folder, then press Generate. The full process is in the bulk-prompt guide. API usage is billed by your provider and is not included in the Melia price.
Updates and support
On Windows Melia can check for and install updates; on macOS updates are manual — download the new DMG. Questions: support@melialab.com (never send your API key).
